Our growing partnership with community leaders, service providers, families, educators, medical professionals, research scientists and people with Down syndrome and other developmental disabilities - locally and internationally - is enabling the Down Syndrome Research Foundation to challenge and re-shape traditional models for educating and serving people with any developmental disability.

Our Plan is to...

• influence decision makers to make policy changes in education and services for people with intellectual disabilities
• further develop our MEG research program, be a leader in brain-development research and neuro-imaging, and participate in studies relating to Alzheimer’s, Parkinson disease, learning disabilities, autism, aging, traumatic brain injury and stroke
• continue to inspire a vision that people with developmental disabilities are lifelong learners and deserve educational opportunities individualized to their unique learning style
• continue to develop and evaluate ours and other’s educational programs and clinical interventions, making sure they’re effective and beneficial
• offer programs in other communities and share our knowledge with organizations across the country
• become a major source of information on Down syndrome and other developmental disabilities
