Child Safety Study

STUDY PURPOSE
To gain understanding of safety related attitudes and experiences of parents who have a child with a disability or a chronic health condition. The results of this study will provide
valuable information to health practitioners who work with children. This project is supported by the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation

ELIGIBILITY
Parents of children aged 1-5 years old having a disability or chronic health condition.
Examples include:
_ Visual Impairment
_ Hearing loss
_ Developmental delay
_ Chronic Health condition (for example Diabetes, Arthritis)

DETAILS
Participants will take part in an interview lasting approximately one hour. The location of the interview will be scheduled at a time and location convenient for the participant.

_ Contribution to research that will improve the safety of children with disabilities and chronic conditions.
_ Opportunity to share your thoughts and ideas about keeping children safe.
_ Expenses related to participation (e.g. parking, meals) will be reimbursed (up to $25.00,receipts will be required)
