Health Care Guidelines for Children + Adolescents with Down Syndrome (Kelowna)

Many medical conditions are more likely to occur in individuals with Down syndrome. Jillian will outline the recently updated version of healthcare guidelines for children and adolescents with Down syndrome from the American Academy of Pediatrics. It is critical that families, child development professionals, and healthcare professionals stay informed on the latest updates to provide timely referrals and to monitor for these health conditions.

Jillian, a registered Speech and Language Pathologist, has been a part of the DSRF team since 2014. She specializes in working with individuals with Down syndrome of all ages, with experience providing one-to-one therapy, facilitating groups and classes, and presenting to small and large audiences. Jillian is very excited to extend the quality services of the Down Syndrome Resource Foundation, a non-profit organization in Burnaby, BC, to families around the Okanagan!
